• The 110v Mobile Dri-IR® only requires 6.6A/725W of power allowing use with on-site generation. Anything less than 110v, for example if operated with a poorly maintained generator, will impair the Dri-IR®’s performance.
Why is the Dri-IR® relatively cool to operate in comparison with traditional heaters used to assist drying in the building sector?
• The Mobile Dri-IR has been engineered to efficiently transmit long wave IR directly to the structure to be dried (rather than heating the air) where it is then absorbed by water which evaporates.
• This allows the unit to operate at considerably lower temperatures than traditional heating equipment used in the building sector to assist drying of materials (see attached comparison).
Other features that make the Mobile Dri-IR® the modern heater of choice for the house building sector?
• Because the Dri-IR® can be operated safely and silently 24/7 with a vented door or window, drying periods can be increased by up to 16 hours/day¹.
• ¹This Increases the potential drying time available to the site project manager by 3X compared to alterative traditional methods that can only be safely operated under supervision during a normal 8 hour working day.
• 24/7 operation was first successfully trialled by a national house builder over the Christmas period in 2016/17.
• 1xMobile Dri-IR® is sufficient for a room up to 12m²
